No, you will get a folder called windows.old with all of your old shit in it.
Feb 3, 2010 at 20:39:12
No, it won’t format. But only if u install it from Windows. You start Vista, put your win7 disc in, lunch it, & Install. Everything will stay the same.
Feb 3, 2010 at 20:39:12
I moved from Vista to 7 and all my files stayed the same. (even Firefox bookmarks which I thought was nice)
Just make sure to do an upgrade and not a fresh install and you’ll be fine.
Feb 3, 2010 at 20:39:12
you’re going to have to reinstall everything.
Feb 3, 2010 at 20:39:12
LOOOOOOOOOOOOL
but yet it will
Feb 3, 2010 at 20:39:12
you get the option to save your stuff on the new os, it’s in a file called windows.001 for example
Feb 3, 2010 at 20:39:12
no, they just do a fresh install to clean up their computer, and a new OS is a good way to do so. so don’t be scared and just install windows 7, should be better than vista
Feb 3, 2010 at 20:39:12
I seen that when you install windows 7 on C disk is folder Old Windows but im not sure is there programs or just My Documents and etc.
Feb 3, 2010 at 20:39:12
if i upgrade vista to windows 7 will it format my computer? because i don’t want to reinstall every game/program in my current computer..
